I have accumulated too many “just gotta blog this” links, so here goes the link dump, enjoy!

1.  Pharmacy sticks to their beliefs: Some pro-life pharmacies will not sell any kind of contraception.  Some even take the prescriptions from the woman so they can’t get it filled in other pharmacies.

What do you think?  Should the owner be forced to sell contraceptives?  What about Viagra?  Now how about the morning after pill?

2.  Georgia Sex Offenders Sue for Right to Volunteer in ChurchesGeorgia has some of the toughest laws on the books for sex offenders.  Added measures are being added this month making it illegal for them to sing in choirs, prepare for events or cook meals in church kitchens.  Southern Center for Human Rights filed a lawsuit on behalf of the 15,400 sex offenders on the state registry to block the laws from going into place.

I’ve gotten into heated debates with church leaders about the topic of offenders in church services.  You guys have any thoughts?

3.  Tony Morgan of NewSpring Church & Simply Strategic fame had a little contest on his blog.  He is a bit metrosexual and a bit redneck.  A challenge was born, come up with things a Metro-Rednexual would do.  Here are a few of the top ten comments.

You might be metro-rednexual if…
2.  You have highlights in your mullet.
4.  You chew Red Man tobacco and spit in a Starbucks cup.
5.  You enjoy fishin’ on Saturday morning and eathing $30 sushi on Saturday night.

4.  ”Pray At The Pump”:  Yep, people grabbing hands and talking to God around the Shell station.  “Our pockets are empty, but we’re going to hold on to God!”.  Oh boy.  Read the article from The Washington Post.

5.  The Q-Drum: A low cost rollable water container for developing countries.  Click the link to see the picture and a short explanation.  Helping moms and kids, very cool idea.

6.  Former Okie, Anne Jackson posts an excerpt that may or may not be in her soon to come book.  The Competition-Driven Church is a must read blog post.  Here is a bit of her point of view.

Unfortunately, I think numbers have become an addiction. We flaunt our numbers, we despise our numbers, we fret about our numbers. Our numbers can validate us. But they shouldn’t. We have absolutely no right to know how God is using us. We only need to know he is, and be grateful.
